URBAN BEE & SEATTLE ART WALKS

The Urban Bee Company is a sustainable honey-bee goods business in Seattle, WA. In 2014, after almost two years of development, Urban Bee and the Common Acre launched “Flight Path” with support from the Port of Seattle. The project turned scrub land surrounding Sea-Tac Airport into pollinator habitat with eighteen hives, and transformed a corner of the airport concourse (Terminal “Bee”) into an art and education exhibit.

We photographed a hive from the project and some of the honey bee goods.  In collaboration with Essentia in Belltown and Cutz Meridian in Wallingford, and sponsored by the Urban Bee Company, we designed posters and promotional materials for fine art photography exhibits in Seattle Art Walks.
